| 19/03/2026 16:45:00 | This issue recurred at approximately 4:45 pm on Thursday, 19 March 2026. We have identified the cause as a faulty optical transceiver in our NextDC M1 data centre. The faulty transceiver has been removed from service, which has restored connectivity for Victorian NBN customers. This failure appears to have prevented our redundant links from failing over as intended, which led to the repeat outage. We will be scheduling a maintenance window to replace the transceiver and implement measures to reduce the risk of recurrence. At this stage, we do not expect any further disruption related to this issue. |
