| 15/05/2026 13:28:00 | Our upstream carrier has identified a widespread internet outage impacting both their Melbourne and Sydney datacenters. It is currently being investigated. |
| 15/05/2026 15:14:00 | We have become aware that there is currently a large scale DDoS attack flooding GSL which has impacted a number of cloud hosting providers and other IT services in Australia. Our voice gateways are also currently being impacted by this. We do not yet have an ETA on when this will be resolved or mitigated. |
| 15/05/2026 16:40:00 | We are aware of an ongoing large-scale denial-of-service attack affecting our upstream provider’s network. The attack has been significant enough to impact their primary upstream connectivity, resulting in ports being temporarily dropped several times to protect the wider network. Each time connectivity was restored, the attack resumed. Our upstream provider is currently routing traffic via secondary upstream paths. This is keeping services reachable, however our voice services are still unstable. The provider has advised they have a meeting scheduled at 4:00 PM AEST with their primary upstream to agree on a sustainable mitigation path. In parallel, they are working with another Australian carrier, with whom they have direct connectivity across their datacentres, to bring additional mitigation capacity online. We will provide a further update after the provider’s meeting. Thank you for your patience. |
| 15/05/2026 17:25:00 | Our upstream provider has advised that they have now met with their primary upstream and agreed on a plan to restore network stability. That plan is currently being implemented. In parallel, they have continued working with additional providers over the past hour to bring further capacity online for ongoing DDoS mitigation. We are beginning to see restoration of voice services. We will provide the next update at 6:30 PM AEST. Thank you for your continued patience. |
| 15/05/2026 19:30:00 | Our primary upstream has implemented local policies that are materially reducing the impact. Services have generally been restored and we are continuing to monitor our voice circuits. |
| 18/05/2026 14:18:00 | We acknowledge the impact this has caused and will be rolling out new voice redundancy in Brisbane and Perth to facilitate mitigating this risk in future, with works scheduled to commence at midnight tonight. |
