How do I configure my NBN or Opticomm modem/router?
Our NBN and Opticomm services use the simplest method of modem/router configuration - IPoE - often referred to as "auto configuration". While we have a detailed guide on configuring our standard issue modem, our modem settings are as follows:
Service Type:
IPoE (also called DHCP or Dynamic)
VLAN Configuration:
Off/None/Disabled
IPoE/DHCP/Dynamic is the default out of box configuration on most routers produced in the last 5 or so years. Most routers require no configuration to get online with us, unless you've been with a previous provider using PPPoE.
